Virtual Tales Offers Free Holiday eBooks

PDFPrintE-mail

Virtual Tales, an independent publisher of trade paperbacks, eBooks, and eSerials spanning a variety of fiction genres
and styles, is offering free eBook and eSerial versions of two popular holiday titles at its website — A CHRISTMAS
CAROL by Charles Dickens and A BATCH OF THE BEST HOLIDAY CLASSICS, VOLUME 1.

In his book A CHRISTMAS CAROL, Charles Dickens invented the modern concept of Christmas Spirit. But while the story
is familiar to people from the many stage, film and television adaptations, many people have never actually read the book.
Now in the public domain, Virtual Tales is pleased to offer a complete, unedited eBook and eSerial version of A
CHRISTMAS CAROL, which also contains the illustrations by John Leach from the 1843 first edition. The eBook version
can be downloaded from the website; the eSerial version divides this classic novel into 12 issues, which will be delivered
to your e-mail box or RSS aggregator as 12 daily installments.

A BATCH OF THE BEST HOLIDAY CLASSICS, VOLUME 1 is a collection of timeless holiday short stories by some of
the world's favorite authors, featuring forewords written by Virtual Tales authors, editors and staff. This volume includes
the following 13 public domain stories:

  • A Visit from St. Nicholas by Clement C. Moore (foreword by VT editor Betty Dobson)
  • The Wooden Shoes of Little Wolff by Francois Cullee (foreword by VT editor Karen Webb)
  • The Gift of the Magi by O. Henry (foreword by VT Chairman Dave A. Law)
  • The Thin Santa Claus by Ellis Parker Butler (foreword by VT co-author David B. Coles)
