Virtual Tales, an e-publisher of serialized novels and novellas spanning a variety of fiction genres and styles, announced that it has hired cover artists for its new serialized fiction website, which launched on May 1st. The artists selected to create the cover art for the stories offered for sale through the Virtual Tales website are accomplished illustrators who can produce stunning images for a wide range of genre fiction. According to Dave A. Law, Chairman of Virtual Tales, “A picture’s worth a thousand words and we know that many readers decide to read the back jacket copy of a book because of the graphics used on the front cover. Having talented artists who can capture the essence of a story with compelling artwork will help us market our serials effectively.” The artists selected to produce the cover artwork for Virtual Tales literature include: - Philip Fuller got his start as an intern at CreativeOne Comics, then moved on to work for several other companies creating book jackets and comic book illustrations. His work will be published in an up-coming art gallery book from Ronin Studios/Compix Press.
- Michael Leadingham is a self-taught freelance cover artist who has been recognized by many galleries for his achievements in the Fantasy genre. Some of his awards include “Artist of the Month” and the Golden Tori Award for “Best Fantasy Picture 2005.” His works can be viewed at numerous on-line galleries including Epilogue.net and Fantasygallery.net.
- Jeff Reitz had a childhood fascination with dinosaurs and after seeing THE 7TH VOYAGE OF SINBAD, he was immediately inspired to become an artist. To enhance his skills, Jeff attended Pratt Manhattan, the Kansas City Art Institute and the Art Institute of Houston. He has worked for Iron Crown Enterprises painting cards for the Middle-Earth Collectible Card Game and as an art teacher for Human Figure, Life Drawing & Movement, Design & Composition, and Color Illustration for 4 years.
