Virtual Tales, an e-publisher of serialized novels and novellas spanning a variety of fiction genres and styles, announced that it has hired additional staff for its recently launched serialized fiction website, including a new executive for its Board of Directors. June Diehl was recently named as the new Director of Submissions. June has over 20 years of technical and creative writing and editing experience, and serves as an editor, writing coach and teacher through ePress Online, newsletters, writing groups and individual authors. Her nonfiction book, The Magic & the Mundane: A Guide for the Writer's Journey, was recently published by ePress Online.

"June has already made a significant contribution in her new role by streamlining our submission process," said Dave A. Law, Chairman of Virtual Tales. "Her organizational skills will help ensure that we review new story submissions as quickly as possible, expediting the debut of new serials for our subscribers to enjoy."

In addition to the new Board position, Virtual Tales has taken on two additional editors and a staff artist:

  • Corina Calsing — a writer, editor, and teacher whose short fiction and poetry have appeared in nationally recognized anthologies and journals. Corina will be editing Science Fiction and Fantasy serials for Virtual Tales.
  • Paulette McGee — a freelance copyeditor, proofreader, and fact-checker for more than ten years who has worked on projects for several publishers including Penguin Group, Kensington Publishing, and DaCapo Books. Paulette will be editing works in the Romance and Science Fiction/Fantasy genres.
  • Michael Grills — a Canadian artist with a BFA from Alberta College of Art and Design, Michael has several years experience as a video game artist on game titles such as Neverwinter Nights and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.

Virtual Tales is a privately held partnership founded in 2005 to publish original works of general and genre fiction in multiple formats, including eBooks, eSerials and print. eBooks are offered in a variety of formats, including MobiPocket, Microsoft Reader and PDA-formatted Adobe Reader files. eSerials are delivered through email twice a week as Adobe Reader files suitable for reading on a PC, Mac, PDA, e-reader, cell phone or other devices. All eSerials are available for a free trial subscription, so readers everywhere are encouraged to visit the website and sample the offerings at no cost or obligation.
