PHILIP FULLER was born in Norwalk, Connecticut, where he earned a degree in Visual Communications from Gibbs College. He served as an intern at CreativeOne Comics, then moved on to work for several other companies creating book jackets and comic book illustrations. He credits Boris Vallejo, Greg Horn, Steve Firchow, Dave Finch and Stephan Platt for their artistic influence on his work, some of which will be published in a soon-coming art gallery book from Ronin Studios/Compix Press. CASSIE FOSTER founded her studio, Cazcie's Graphic Design, in 1979. She began her art career by doing window displays, signs, logos and other corporate identity work. In addition to her graphic design work, Cassie is a ceramics instructor, teaching techniques such as molding, pouring, cleaning and painting. Over the years she attended classes, eventually earning a diploma and Honors Medallion in Computer Technology, Repair & Maintenance (with a 3.5 GPA) from Grand Island Community College. Ms. Foster began experimenting with digitial artwork in the 1990's and by 2003, her artwork was included in the book DIGITAL BEAUTIES from Taschen Books, as well as book covers for Five Star Publishing. She will be designing book covers for a variety of Virtual Tales genres.
MICHAEL GRILLS is a Canadian artist who just loves to draw. He earned a BFA degree at Alberta College of Art and Design and took his first assignment with Bioware Corporation, a leading independent video game developer based in Edmonton . He worked as an artist for five years on major video game titles such as Neverwinter Nights and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. According to Michael, “It's all about visualising the story, and then offering a bit of fun interpretation.” In 2006, Michael decided to move back to his home town of Calgary, Alberta to work on a freelance career creating artwork for books and video games.
CRAIG JENNION began drawing at an early age, winning many talent contests along the way. He holds a BA in Art from the University of Pennsylvania at California and an Associates degree from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. A member of the Pittsburgh Society of Illustrators, Craig has been working as an artist for more than 25 years. He worked for the Friedlander Publishing Group (FPG) for five years designing collectible card sets for Ken Kelly, Larry Elmore, Brom, Keith Parkinson and others. He also worked on FPG's card game, Guardians. Craig lives with his wife Barbara and daughter Cristina in the Pittsburgh area, where he currently teaches illustration and graphic design at a local art school.
MICHAEL LEADINGHAM is a senior artist with Virtual Tales. He is a self-taught freelance cover artist who has been recognized by many galleries for his achievements in the Fantasy genre. He has been studying art most of his life and his creations have been published in online e-zines and paperback novels, in addition to commissioned pieces. Some of his awards include Artist of the Month and the Golden Tori Award for best fantasy picture 2005. His works can be viewed at numerous on-line galleries including Epilogue.net and Fantasygallery.net. Michael currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada and will be creating the cover artwork for Fantasy and Science Fiction genre serials at Virtual Tales.
JEFF REITZ had a childhood fascination with dinosaurs, and after seeing THE 7TH VOYAGE OF SINBAD, he was immediately inspired to become an artist. "When I was a kid, the Cyclops that Ray Harryhausen had created for the movie just blew me away!" To enhance his skills, Jeff attended Pratt Manhatten, Kansas City Art Institute & Art Institute of Houston. From 1995-1998, he worked for Iron Crown Enterprises painting cards for the Middle-Earth Collectible Card Game. Afterwards, he landed a job as an art teacher for Human Figure, Life Drawing & Movement, Design & Composition, and Color Illustration for 4 years. Currently, Jeff is back in college learning new skills in computer animation and computer graphics.
