New Flash Fiction from David B Coles |

 Virtual Tales author David B Coles (THE LAST FREE MEN), has a new piece of flash fiction published at Writer's Billboard. After watching a news story about child soldiers, he decided to try his hand with flash fiction and wrote a story called THE DJINN'S GRANDCHILD. It will be featured at the website until the end of October.
Writer's Group Pays Off
Initially, the story was not accepted, so he asked other Virtual Tales authors to look at the story and critique it. "I was very pleased with the ready response I received from my fellow authors," said Mr. Coles. "This was an emotional work and I couldn't see what was wrong with it. But when I incorporated the comments I received from the Virtual Tales author's group into the rewrite, the story was a winner."

During the reign of Emperor Marcus Aurelius in the 2nd Century AD, Rome’s Ninth Legion was sent to Hadrian’s Wall in northwest Britain to quell an insurrection that threatened the Empire’s hold on the region. They were never heard from again.
