P. JUNE DIEHLis the Editorial Director for Virtual Tales. Ms. Diehl is responsible for recruiting and reviewing editor applications, administering and grading editor qualification tests, and making recommendations about new editor hires to the full Board of Directors. An editor, author, writing coach and teacher, June offers her skills to ePress Online, newsletters, writing groups and individual authors. She has also worked for over 20 years as a technical writer/editor. Her nonfiction book, The Magic & the Mundane: A Guide for the Writer's Journey, was recently published by ePress Online. June teaches writing classes at Pearls of Writing. Working in several genres, her first loves are fantasy and science fiction, and she is currently writing several novels, including Murder in D Minor and Logan's Lament. June lives in Fredericksburg, VA with five cats.
Board of Directors
DAVE A. LAW is the Chairman for the Virtual Tales board of directors. Dave is a veteran small press writer, editor and former publisher whose short stories, poetry, articles, and comic books have seen print in various publications over the last twenty years. He works as a software developer and on the side runs a software company for writers, Intellectus Enterprises. Currently, he also edits writing guides for Dragon Moon Press the first of which, THE COMPLETE GUIDE TO WRITING SCIENCE FICTION: Volume 1, was published Sept. 2007. He lives in Calgary, Canada with his wife and two daughters.
JAKE GEORGE is the Director of Acquisitions for Virtual Tales. Mr. George is responsible for qualifying new manuscripts, assigning them to genre review groups for further evaluation and presenting those manuscripts best suited for publication to the full Board of Directors. A Senior Editor for Virtual Tales, he is a published author of Native American novels and medical self-help works about thyroid disease. With over 20 years under his belt as an editor for the Department of Defense, Jake started Sage Words Services, a Native American owned and operated editing, proofreading and web design company. Jake is a guest columnist for Florida Today newspaper and has been published in numerous online and print magazines. He has served as a mystery genre writing judge for a Florida publisher and serves as a youth mentor for young aspiring writers. Jake is of Lenni Lenape descent and is a storyteller of Native American tales. His book, GRANDFATHER'S SONG was released in January 2005; the sequel A NEW DAWN was released in October 2006.
SHERI GORMLEY is Virtual Tale's Director of Marketing & Promotions and has many years experience crafting and executing marketing campaigns. Other employers include include MTV Networks, Seiko Time, Fujitsu Microelectronics, Columbia Ultimate and Onboard Systems. She founded a successful retail website, The Second Hand News, to provide information and sales for vitamins and nutritional supplements that are believed to assist in the treatment of ADD/ADHD. Sheri lives near Portland, Oregon with her husband and two children.
